Folklore Studies in a Multicultural World

Series Editors: Laurie Matheson (University of Illinois Press), Craig Gill (University Press of Mississippi), and Sheila Leary (University of Wisconsin Press)

Folklore Studies in a Multicultural World seeks to publish first books that bring interdisciplinary and international aspects to the study of folklore. Authors of series volumes participate in a pre-publication workshop that is part of the American Folklore Society's annual conference. Submissions for the workshop and series are accepted January 1 to April 1 of each year. Complete details may be found at www.folklorestudies.org.

Funded by a generous grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the series is a collaborative venture of the University of Illinois Press, the University Press of Mississippi, and the University of Wisconsin Press, in conjunction with the American Folklore Society.
