Two titles recently published by the University of Illinois Press have won ARSC (Association for Recorded Sound Collections) awards. Restless Giant: The Life and Times of Jean Aberback and Hill and Range Songs by Bar Biszick-Lockwood has won the 2011 ARSC Award for Best Research in Recorded Rock or Popular Music.  And, Peter C. Muir’s Long Lost Blues: Popular Blues in America, 1850-1920 has been awarded a Certificate of Merit in the Best Music History category.
