William Preston, Jr., professor emeritus of history at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York, is history editor of Lies of Our Times: A Magazine to Correct the Record. He has written extensively in the fields of civil liberties and U.S. history. Paul Buhle is coeditor of Encyclopedia of the American Left.
