On Saturday, July 10, 2010, the Abraham Lincoln Book Shop in Chicago will host University of Illinois Press author Mark Lause for a virtual book signing.

Beginning at noon, Dr. Lause will sign copies of his latest book Race and Radicalism in the Union Army for in-store and online customers.

The book assesses the social interrelations, ramifications, and military impact of nonwhites in the Union forces and explores the extent of interracial thought and activity among Americans in the Civil War period.
