This year is the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812. To celebrate, the University of Illinois Press has published a Bicentennial Edition of Donald Hickey’s The War of 1812: A Forgotten Conflict.  The original edition was published in 1989 and was the winner of a Best Book Award from the American Military Institute.

On March 19, 2012, Dr. Hickey was interviewed by John J. Miller of the National Review Online for its Between the Covers podcast series.  The mp3 file of that interview can be downloaded here.
