This past Saturday, July 14, marked 100 years since the birth of Woody Guthrie. Will Kaufman, author of the University of Illinois Press book Woody Guthrie, American Radical, was interviewed and referenced in a number of media outlets over the past two weeks including Znet, The National Review, The Guardian (UK), The Telegraph (UK), Wonkette, and Democracy Now‘s hour-long July 4 feature.
Kaufman, a professor of American literature and culture at the University of Central Lancashire, England, will be in the United States in August and September performing and discussing Woody Guthrie songs. Here are the tour dates:
