Howard D. and Marjorie I. Brooks Endowment for Progressive Thought Fund
Supports publications featuring progressive thought, broadly conceived and embracing works on education, the environment, intellectual history, music, labor, and related fields.
Darlene Clark Hine Black History fund
Help continue the legacy of Dr. Hine's commitment to mentorship and scholarship by supporting Black studies publications that build a greater understanding of the African American experience.
Bruno Nettl Fund for Ethnomusicology
Fund supports publications in ethnomusicology in honor of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign professor emeritus Bruno Nettl, an internationally renowned musicologist, co-founder of the Society for Ethnomusicology, and longtime editor of the journal Ethnomusicology.
Henry and Edna Binkele Classical Music Fund
Was established in 1995 by two sisters in recognition of their parents, this fund supports publication of classical music books of the highest quality.
Judith McCulloh Fund for American Music
Was established in memory of UIP editor Judith McCulloh, who built the cornerstone series Music in American Life. This fund supports publications in American music and vernacular culture.
L. J. and Mary C. Skaggs Folklore Fund
First established in 1995, supports publication of diverse folklore titles that explore cultures from across the United States and around the world.
University of Illinois Press Fund for Anthropology
Builds upon the generosity of Norm Whitten, a pioneer of ethnographic approaches to anthropological research in South America. This fund supports publications in anthropology.
