Studying Appalachian Studies wins Weatherford Award

BerryS15Studying Appalachian Studies: Making the Path by Walking, edited by Chad Berry, Phillip J. Obermiller, and Shaunna L. Scott has been awarded the Weatherford Award in non-fiction by Berea College and the Appalachian Studies Association.

The award is given to books that “best illuminate the challenges, personalities, and unique qualities of the Appalachian South.”

The Weatherford winners will be recognized at the Appalachian Studies Association Conference at Shepherd University, Shepherdstown, West Virginia, March 17-20.
