The University of Illinois Press is saddened to report the death of Ronald D. Cohen on December 27, 2022. Ron was a noted historian of American folk music with a deep commitment to mentoring younger scholars. Among his several books, UIP published two co-authored titles and distributed a single-authored survey of labor and music.
